Emotional Development Programs for Boys
Our mission is to break the “Boy Code” that has defined the idea that boys must keep their emotions in-check, suppress the expression of authentic and vulnerable feelings, and that men must disconnect from their emotions to fulfill a masculine identity.
We offer programs for boys focused on empathy, compassion and emotional development that builds individual confidence, self-esteem and self-awareness based on emotional empowerment.
“The three most destructive words that every man receives when he’s a boy is when he’s told to 'be a man.”
We offer programs for boys that teach how to identify, accept and express one's full range of emotions. Our programs empower boys to experience healthier and safer relationships with their families, friends, peers and the world that surrounds them.
Our programs are designed for elementary through high-school aged boys and are offered as two-day immersive workshops as well as evening group programs.
Our programs are scheduled throughout the calendar year. All workshops are now open for registration but space is limited, so register early to reserve your spot.
Please see our workshop schedule for dates and availability. When you decide which dates best suit your needs, you can register online..

The three most damaging words we can tell young boys is to “be a man”. Challenging this foundational belief has been the inspiration for founder Lance Drozda and the programs offered through i-am-heart..
Lance is a father of two young boys and has been facilitating men’s self-development workshops since 2011. He created i-am-heart as a way of bringing a more empathetic and heart-based approach to emotional self-awareness and safety for boys and men.
