Advisory Board

Our Advisory Board maintains the mandate of providing on-going strategic oversight, guidance and advice to help maximize the impacts of our programs, services and advocacy work. They help us as we help those that we serve -  children, parents, schools, community organizations and health care practitioners.

Jenn Corbiell, MSW, RSW

Registered Social Worker

Family Therapist, Corbiell Counselling and Consulting Services

 

Jenn Corbiell a registered Social Worker in Calgary, Alberta, working both in private practice and as a Family Therapist with Alberta Health Services.  She holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work and a Bachelors Degree in Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies.  Her practice interests include working with trauma, addiction, depression, anxiety, interpersonal relationship issues, and life transitions.

Shea Conway, JD, MA

Attorney / Third Year Doctoral Student in Psychology

Managing Partner, Adelson, Testan, Brundo, Novell & Jimenez

 

Shea Conway received his Master's Degree in Psychology in 2015 and is currently a Third Year Doctoral Student in Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute. He is also Managing Partner within his law firm and has been a practicing attorney since receiving his Doctor of Law in 1995.  Beyond Shea’s professional accolades, he is a dedicated and relentless volunteer within his community in Sacramento, California and donates his personal and professional time to various organizations focused on youth and family issues.

Rebecca Stares, MSW, RCW

Registered Clinical Social Worker

Youth and Child Therapist, Spirited Connections Consulting

 

Rebecca Stares hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work and is in private practice supporting individuals, couples, and families through traditional talk-therapy approaches, and as well as Equine Assisted Therapy. She is a very active member within her professional community and holds several committee memberships including the Clinical Committee and Youth and Special Interest Group within the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW). Rebecca is also a lead facilitator with i-am-heart.

Maureen Marston, BEd 
Senior Educator

Rocky View School Division

 

Maureen Marston  holds a Bachelor of Education Early Childhood and has been a child and youth educator for nearly 35 years. Maureen has recently retired from the Rocky View School Division and continues to be an active volunteer with Calgary Stampede Association where she has held various roles since 2000. She is the past Chairman of International Youth Livestock, current Vice Chair of the Western Performance Horse Committee and a Board member of the Stockmens Memorial Foundation in Cochrane, AB where she resides on her family farm.

Natasha Brzoza 
Executive Director

Southern Alberta Brian Injury Society

 

Natasha Brzoza is the Executive Director and a Board of Directors member for the Southern Alberta Brain Injury Society (SABIS). SABIS is not-for-profit organization providing support and services to adults with acquired brain injury. It offers education and group support programs to impacted family members and works closely with community and healthcare agencies in support of their mandate. In addition to providing executive management and leadership, Natasha works closely with children of family members with brain injuries.

Founder, i-am-heart 

 

Lance Drozda is the proud founder of i-am-heart which was created as an advocacy organization focused on delivering programs and services through an empathetic and heart-based approach to emotional self-awareness for youth and young adults. Since 2011, he has worked with various non-profit organizations aligned to supporting the emotional growth and safety of children and adults including the Soltura Foundation located outside of Seattle, Washington.  Lance is the father of two young boys and resides in Calgary, Alberta.
