Interactive Emotions Wheel

A while back I wrote t about how our emotional experiences are rooted in five core emotions: joy, fear, anger, disgust and sadness - and our ability to combine and mix emotions and then feel them in a variety of intensities increases our emotional experience. I also wrote recently

about how we struggle with is finding the right words to convey to others and we need to establish a bigger emotional dictionary to help describe to others how we feel.

With all of that said, we have created a new tool - the Interactive Emotions Wheel .

You can use the Emotions Wheel to interactively navigate, zoom and explore over 300 predefined emotions. Each emotion also has a "information card" that provides:

  • a definition of the emotion

  • an indication of the emotion as "pleasant" or "unpleasant"

  • the intensity of the emotion (low to high)

  • the underlying "core" emotions that the emotion is based from

  • related emotions that can be navigated to and explored

You can find it here.
